Do You Prefer Cooking or Baking?

I'll admit I haven't cooked or baked in a while. I am pretty decent at basic stuff and cooked every dinner for 20+ years. But after I started getting dementia-like issues I couldn't remember how to do anything. Well, I think I'm better now, but hubby still protects me and we mostly eat one meal a day (lunch) and it's at a restaurant.
But if I had to choose whether I liked cooking or baking better, I think I'd choose baking. It makes the house smell good. And it's fun. And it is a longer process that you anticipate the result.
So which do you prefer doing - cooking or baking?

I cook almost every day but only bake meats once in a while. I used to do both on a regular basis. I don't have a preference really. (My favorite was baking fresh bread but doctors told me to stop eating bread so I stopped baking it but still eat some once in a while.)

I suck at cooking, and I'm average at baking, so I would prefer baking any day over cooking. And, like you said, it makes the house smell good!

I like both; but I would say cooking. You don't have to be so exact with measurements; and you can do a lot of experimenting.
