Another good news story from Australia is that our Prime Minister, Anthony Albanese, was married yesterday. It was a small occasion, kept secret from the rest of Australia until the last minute because of the potential disruption and security issues.
The couple met in 2020 and have been engaged since Valentine’s Day. They wrote their own vows and his dog, Toto, was the ring-bearer. He is the first prime minister to get married while in office.
I wish them both well. I wouldn’t want his job for quids but someone needs to run the country and mostly he seems to do it quite well. Most Australians refer to him as ‘Albo’.
The photo was taken at CHOGM in Samoa in 2024 and is from the official photostream of the Prime Minister of the UK.

That’s something of a news that a seating prime minister has decided to tie knots with someone. And l am impressed that the wedding was made in private and not made loud since they could have done that being in the limelight of things. I guess they chose privacy over being in the limelight. That’s an admirable thing for a prominent government official to do while in public service.

Nice to see that it wasn’t a Prince Charles/Princess Diana elaborate get-up.

That's sad that she has been abandoned. It's not a nice thing to do.

His father was Italian and his mother Australian. I must write about his background as it's very interesting.

It's fine if he manages his official duty even after marriage.

He takes his responsibility very seriously. We're lucky to have him I think.

He has a son but I couldn't find any information about a previous marriage.
