I watched a very good video on her last night. Some pictures I had never seen and I didn't know she had become such good friends with this photographer. It seems that on December 23, 1954, she put on a brunette wig and sunglasses, boarded a plane for New York under the pseudonym Zelda Zank. She was the guest of a photographer she had met, Milton Green and his wife and young son. She became auntie to their son, Josh. She fed him, bathed him and babysat him when the Green's went out for New Years Eve. The entire video was full of photos of her taken by Milton. He is the one that did the famous series of her in just a red sweater. The picture is from wallpapers.com

Yes, she never had any real family life. Just justled around from one foster family to another and they weren't always nice.

I hope she had a few true friends and not just all the hangers-on.

This Green guy seemed to be a good friend. She stayed with his family for quite a while.
