I can't talk him into going to the Urgent Care.
He hit his head when he fell and blacked out for a few seconds. His head was bleeding and has a huge knot on it.
He also heard a pop and thinks something is wrong deep inside his knee.
The asphalt looked dry and clear but it was invisible or "black" ice and he went down lack a sack of potatoes. This was in mother-in-law's parking lot but he just got back in the car, moved the car to another location where there wasn't any ice, and proceeded with our taking care of his mother.
I'm going to try to talk some sense into him about seeking medical care, but I'm sure I'm just wasting my breath,.

Thought about calling an ambulance to come evaluate him?

If you don't call an ambulance...keep him under observation..but tell him to do it for you, even if he thinks its silly. You;ll take the blame if the doctor says there is nothing wrong with him.

When someone hits their head, if they black out at all, even for a few seconds, doctors consider it a big flag there is a problem and it's recommended to go get checked out. If he has a concussion, he shouldn't fall asleep. The head is the biggest thing, but the knee is concerning as well. I would just put up with his being mad and call. If you were lying there or hurt, he wouldn't stand for it, he would scoop you up and take you. All's fair...

You need to get him to the Emergency Room ASAP! Hitting his head and blacking out a few seconds is not good. Please don't listen to him , call the ambulance. Prayers for your husband.

@looeyville Of course he won’t go - that’s what men do. I do hope he’s ok.

Umm—CALL an ambulance. He blacked out. At this point it doesn’t matter if he gets mad at you. He could have a brain bleed, a skull fracture, severe concussion. Nothing to wait on!! Please call!!
