Thursday Coffee Talk

Happy Thursday Everyone! Brrrr it's a cold day here and it feels like snow. No snow in the forecast but it certainly feels like it. I didn't put on a warm enough shirt this morning so I'm going to have to change to either a pullover sweater or sweatshirt.
I was going to go out today to run a few errands and pick up my prescriptions but decided to wait until tomorrow. i am making headway with writing out my Christmas cards and I have two packages that need to be mailed so it makes more sense to wait one more day and do it all at once.
Thankfully I got all my Medicare drama solved yesterday. Found a new provider that turns out to be better than what I had and lo and behold, less expensive. Yay me!!
Since it's so chilly today, looks like soup for lunch.
Chicken for dinner and it's always just a matter of how to make it. At least with chicken there's so many different ways to make it it's not hard eating it multiple times a week.
Nothing much going on which is fine. I'm happy with days that are routine.

*sigh* Good morning. I got my days confused. I thought today was Wednesday, not Thursday already. (It's only 28F here and our predicted high was supposed to reach 34F but the forecast has changed and 32F is the new high with flurries predicted this afternoon. 
)
Oh, good job getting a cheaper provider! I hope that goes well for you! 
Chicken is always good, no matter how it's fixed.
I'll be eating another piece of the free fried chicken we got yesterday for my lunch today along with more steamed veggies. (I wish Pretty would eat broccoli but she won't even buy it for me because she hates the smell of it cooking. 
)

@Marilynda1225 That's how I mostly bought it when I was shopping although I would also buy it fresh and eat that raw once in a while. She didn't complain about that but won't buy raw broccoli because I know how to steam it, too. 
You just never know what different providers will offer.

@DaddyEvil I can cook all the broccoli I want here because my daughter loves broccoli. However, she hates onions and probably like Pretty doesn't even want me to buy any let alone cook them.

We eat a lot of broccoli here (almost every night) but I do agree that it doesn't smell that good while cooking. I buy the steamable microwave bags and they don't seem to smell as much.
i'm very happy that everything worked out with Medicare and I won't be paying as much as I was. AND my coverage will be better now. Go figure!

Well, day is a bit off with my dad in the hospital and the thermostat guy coming, but I suppose it could be worse. We are supposed to see some snow tomorrow, but probably won't be much.

I’m currently smiling at my funny dog. She’s playing with her Greenie, and having a grand old time. It’s a really cold day, but I don’t mind since I can stay warm and inside. I’m waiting until tomorrow too, to pick up my prescriptions.
I know if Medicare is like it is now when I am at that age, I’ll have to get my sister to help me. She understands things like that much better than I.

I was totally perplexed looking at all the options and providers with Medicare so I was lucky that my daughter was more knowledgeable and was a big help. It can get mind boggling but you have plenty of time before you need to apply.
Sadie sounds like she's having fun playing with her Greenie. Mush is sleeping
