5 December - What I'm Thankful for Today

Good evening from cold and snowy Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. It's 24 F and feels like 18 F. Perfect weather for snow. It's been a good day. I got up at 1:45 this morning and had the laundry in the washer by 2. I guess I needed to be up that early because it's been go, go, go all day, except for a power nap this afternoon. I'm thankful I got all the notifications done this morning, so I was caught up. I have 28 right now, but I'll do those tomorrow. I'm thankful I went with my neighbor to Housing this morning to let them know she hasn't had heat for the past month. The complex called her an hour after we talked to them and the heating people will be here to fix the furnace first thing Monday morning. I'm thankful for the work I did on Firestorm today. I have less than a hundred pages to go on this edit and revision. When finished I will set it aside for a little while and work on Faith to Believe to get that one published early next year. I'm thankful for the Volunteer Dinner party tonight. It was a lot of fun with good food, good conversation, and games. They had chicken. I'm allergic to chicken, so is another person who sat at my table. Pastor asked if salmon would be all right. It was the best salmon I ever ate. The games after dinner were lots of fun. There were four games with four to five people playing with prizes. I didn't join in the games, but I did help judge the final cookie decorating contest. It was a hard choice. So, you can see, it was a wonderful day with much to be thankful for. I also needed to put Missy out tonight. She wasn't cooperative and I needed help from another person to get her outside. I'm also thankful I figured out how to download the pictures from my new phone. The one I hope to show is from the Volunteer party with everyone at my table. I'm the one in the jacket.
