It turned into a dark rainy day.

I just got back indoors from taking out some trash and checking the mail. I gave George a little yogurt and a glass of ice water, after getting him to drink a nutritional shake. Most of what goes in (liquid-wise) comes out of his stoma. Solid and simi-solid food (things like yogurt) don't seem to be giving George much problems. I'll have to get a hold of nutrition Monday and see what I can do about getting either some thickiner or another form of nuturtional shake. Wasn't expecting it to hover in the 60's but that's what rain does in the fall and winter months. It warms up early drops and holds.

No sun to speak of today. It's supposed to rain all weekend.

And I just commented on another post and asked you if George would benefit from nutritional shekes and you just answered my question here, I think that is good he drinks fhose shakes, I just hope that once the stoma heals he will be able to start on some solid foods, Yes, the rain came while i was busy writing online and did not even notice,

While the shakes provide nutritional support, I'm nt sure how much of it's being diagested and how much is leaking out. Simi solid solid and soft foods don't seem to leak, but thin likquids do.

How long does it generally take for a stoma to completely heal by itself? I suppose it does at least partially depend on the age and health of the person, and how long he has had the stoma, but I wondered if they gave you a ball park idea. If it doesn't close soon, will they go in and do that? I imagine it's irritating to George and a worry for you as well.
