Good morning myLot

Hello everyone. I hope your day is off to a good start. It is 26 degrees F and dark here at the Jersey Shore. The high for today is 45. I miss summer. On a Sunday in summer I'd be hanging with my neighbors at the pool. I went to bed early last night so I woke up at like 4am. I didn't even fight it. I just got up knowing that I can take a nap later. I have some meal prep and baking projects to work on today. I also need to finally get around to making the batch of coquito and bar nuts that I have had planned. I realized that I don't have enough pint-sized mason jars so I ordered them from Amazon yesterday. They are supposed to be delivered this morning. When I share food gifts/treats sometimes people return the jars and sometimes not. Lately it is mostly not. That is fine but it limits what I can share in the future. I have a bit of planning to do for the work week as well--lesson plans, printing out an ugly sweater template, homebound tutoring info, etc. I hate to think about work when I'm not there but I'd rather just deal with it here than spend extra time there. What's everyone else up to today?

Even weekends get packed with so much to do and prepare for the coming work week. It's 4PM Sunday afternoon. I did manage to get a few things done around the house this weekend along with relaxing, watching TV and catching up with online world. I have some things to do for coming week at work. I plan to sit from 7:30 to 9 in the evening, play some TV or music and just do it.

Good morning. It is 41F this morning in my part of Missouri with fog. Our high today is supposed to reach 40F by late this afternoon. (The forecast says the temp will start falling around noon and reach 34F by evening.) Nothing going on here today as far as I know. I've taken my morning meds, washed dishes, cleaned counters, wiped down the top of the stove and cleaned the bathroom. And I'm bored, if you couldn't tell. *sigh* Pretty was also awake during the night and vacuumed the house. I hope you have a lovely day.

I want to run the Roomba to vacuum the carpet but my downstairs neighbor will flip out if I do that before like 7am.

@NJChicaa I only lived in an apartment for a few months but no matter how quiet we were, the downstairs neighbor swore we had a herd of elephants living in our apartment.

@DaddyEvil She is a friend and gets it. . . most of the time. I had a senior cat who would keep walking over the Roomba on his way to the back of the couch which would set it off at like 2am. I was like "you can't even be mad at me about that. I was asleep!" She also used to "mention" my cats running up and down the halls in the middle of the night. Um what am I supposed to do about that when I am asleep? I don't stress about what I can't control. I'm not going to run it intentionally for at least another hour. IDGAF if it wakes up her 18 year old son who stays up all night gaming and screaming.

I hate it when I give an edible treat on a plate, and they don’t return the plate. I’d prefer to use a paper plate, but sometimes the treat is too heavy not to use a real one. Even if I say something like, you can give me the plate back later, they usually don’t. I need to get some garage sale plates. Today is a big football day! Good NFL matchups, and final college football rankings for playoffs. Exciting!
