Well, this is where flexibility comes in handy.

As I stated, I set a goal for myself. A work day if you want to call it that. Where I focus on the more unplsent tasks of side husstles, gigs etc or housechores. Making time for distractions and interuptions. One of those came in the form of the pharamcy calling telling me about George's drugs. So, we went and got them, or one of them. We'll get the other one tomorrow. I wanted to get the pills in him as soon as I could, because I'm on a short leash so-to-speak. He has a repeat EDG scheduled for Friday the 13, in Feb. So, I need to get the pills going. I didn't want to delay. We had a hell of a time filling the scripts, and I was determined to get them as soon as I could. George was on board, and decided he wanted to run erronds. So I told him, fine. We'll go. Sure enough, as he was driving me to the VA to pick up his med, I got the text saying it was ready. George was excited when my phone announced the text over the van's speakers. Gas priceses must've gone down, or the van took less. Or, maybe both. But, based on what we paid, we actually spent less at the pump then we've spent in a while. I'm betting it's a combination of the two. I'll take it. When I went to take the bedding out to put it in the dryer and start todays load of laundry, I realized I never started it. So, I have that going. I'll finish emptying the dryer and get that going. Monday is my busy day it seems. Well, I'll get those steps at least.

Can't you have them mail his meds to him ? that's how hubby gets his Straight to the house you just let the post office know not put them in the mail box if your not right there where the mail box is. Our mail box is on a main street away from the house so we told them to bring them to the house or let us know when they come in & we'll come & get them, that's a lot better than going every day or every other day to get the meds. I would also get a 3 month supply if he has to be on them for life.

For the most part, his meds do come in the mail. Every so often, especially when it comes to a med he's just starting, I'll request window pickup. We live about ten minutes from the clinic, and this gives me an opportunity to speak to someone if I have a question about a med. This is one of those times when in-person was better, because timing is everything. And, yes, some meds he does get a 90-day supply, but this is also short-term to treat something.

@kaylachan That's a good thing when you live so close to the va clinic, wish we did, we live a hr away so we have to get a head start when he has a app.

@2ndchances24 I'm glad we have one that does basic medical services. We're thankful for that at least.

So you were able to get both his meds? That's great. Busy day. I think they lower the prices this time of year so they can raise them again in the spring/summer. Nice though, huh?

I think yu're right. People aren't driving near as much during the winter months, and there's three weeks in-between Thanksgiving and Christmas and a week between Christmas and New Years. So traveling isn't like it is bad this time of year. I can't read the price at the pump, but I was happy that it cost less then ten when I filled it up today.

Yep, we do need to be flexible when something comes up and they're not necessarily on the schedule. Things can move around a bit, but can still be done.

Yeah, and I've learned to be flexible. Some things you just can't plan for.

You get a lot done. I plan, but I also have to be flexible at times of course, due to the son. But that's life, we just keep on keeping on, it gets done.

And, I have to do a combindnation of both. It's also I don't take a higher paying gig job with a deadline because I know that I have to drop what I'm doing at a moment's notice.
