A Dad Left His Kids in His Burning Apartment / myLot

This story out of Wisconsin is heartbreaking and begs a lot of questions about whether the dad killed his kids. A father of 3 was in his apartment with his 3 kids when he saw a "small fire" in his kitchen and his immediate first response was to walk out the front apartment door to "get help." Really? What parent wouldn't first go get their kids and get them out of the house or even try to put the fire out? Two of the kids died in the fire (two boys) and the little girl was badly burned then died later at the hospital. The father says he "panicked" and went out for help first without thinking of rescuing the kids. He says he tried to go back in the apartment later but the smoke hurt his eyes so he backed back out without getting the kids. I'm calling foul on this one. For some reason I think the dad set the fire and killed his kids.

I don't know but this is really a heartbreaking incident. But yeah the first thing to do would be to take away the kids from the house

That sounds Suss, first thing id be looking to save our my kids then dog even if it costs me my own life

I have no idea if he started the fire, but it sounds like a slam dunk in at least manslaughter.

He probably did. Also, mist parents wouldn't stop trying to rescue their children because "the smoke hurt their eyes."

Yeah, my first reaction would be to put out a "small fire" and, if it's big, get Pretty out and then get help. (Pretty is an adult and I'd still get her out first.) There's definitely more to that story than he's telling, in my opinion.
