Is Formatting a CV Really Worth the High Price Tag?”

I’ve been on a hunt for a way to make my CV stand out—something professional, sharp, and well-organized. But here’s the catch: every service I find comes with a price that seems a bit over the top. Hiring an agent, whether online or offline, could cost me more than I’m willing to spend, and I’m left wondering: Is this really the only way? It’s hard to shake the feeling that there’s gotta be a way to get the same results without paying an arm and a leg. Maybe it’s all about finding the right tools or knowing a few hidden tricks. Anyone else ever been in the same boat? It’d be interesting to hear how others have navigated this — without emptying their wallets .Lately, I’ve been under quite a bit of financial strain, and paying for CV-formatting services just isn’t something I can manage right now.

A professional charges what they believe the service is worth. If you can't afford it or don't want to pay it, then learn to do what you want yourself and save yourself the money. It's just like any other professional service. You can always put in the time and learn it yourself or pay the person who has already put in that time and gotten the experience themselves.

@Manasha Of course they do. Everybody has to pay bills and doing professional work requires payment.

I would put it through ChatGPT. It's free and if it didn't help you'd be no worse off.
