I Love the Grinch!

I have enjoyed the grinch's attitude for years. Sure he's an a ss but he's honest about it. I like honesty in a monster. I recently purchased the video of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" to add to my collection of Christmas movies I traditionally watch each year. It is the old one with Boris Karloff narrating. It also has several other fun events added so I will be watching it soon. Here are a few interesting facts about the grinch: * He first appeared in a poem in the Redbook magazine May of 1955. It was entitled "Hoobub and the Grinch". * Dr. Suess actually wrote the book after feeling grouchy around Christmastime one year. * In the book the Grinch is actually black and white with red eyes. It wasn't until the 1966 TV cartoon that he became green. * In the movie the costume that Jim Carey wears took 7.52 hours to put on the first time and it was later refined to 2.5 hours each day. * The story of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" has been used in education teaching such themes as redemption, the spirit of giving, and the importance of community.
