My Good Deed Went Undone

There was a clerk at the convenience store that I frequented that I got to know and he was going through a rough patch. He was probably around 40-45 and was having heart problems. He went to the Cleveland Clinic and was told he only had 6 months to live if he didn't have open heart surgery. He has no family here but has a 21 year old son somewhere. I had prayed with him and offered him encouragement every time I visited the store. Yesterday I went up there with a Greeting Card offering support and encouragement along with a $25 restaurant gift card, but when I got there they said he had quit. I guess his mortality shifted his priorities and he has a lot on his mind other than working. I hope he's okay. His name is Jeff is you want to send up a little prayer for him.
