I treated myself to a new Le Creuset pot

My ex gifted me with a set of Cuisinart pots/pans years and years ago when we bought the house. With all of the cooking I do they have served me well all of this time. (Yup I took them ALL when I moved here! ) I started to notice that the handle was getting loose on the 2 quart pot and there was no obvious way to tighten the rivets or whatever the things are called. Last night though I was trying to boil water and I noticed that water was leaking out of the rivet holes which eventually extinguished the gas flame. Yeah that was it. I knew I needed to buy a new pot. Now I'm not a fancy person by any means. I don't buy designer clothes, shoes, purses, etc. All of the furniture here is hand-me-down. One thing I do like though is Le Creuset cookware and bakeware. It is expensive but it is very high-quality with a lifetime guarantee. Honestly almost all of the pieces that I have were given to me as gifts in any case. Anyway I decided to splurge and get myself a Le Creuset stainless steel 2 quart saucepan. All of my other LC stuff is enameled cast iron but I wanted the pot to look more like the rest of my regular pots/pans. It cost a whopping $190. I purchased it via a link from Swagbucks so I will get some of those for that. Still the price is crazy. My ex was like "$100 per quart is a little excessive". Yeah I know but it wasn't like I was asking him to pay for it. So it will be fun to receive a new piece to add to my LC collection.

Very nice! I'm sure you'll enjoy it. When I moved out of the house my first wife and I bought, I wanted a good set of cookware since I was the one who did all the cooking there and I'd be the one doing all the cooking where ever I ended up... I bought Calphalon pots and pans and paid about that for each pan and lid. They've lasted really well and are easy to clean. I've owned them for around 40 years and told Pretty a few weeks ago that we need to replace the 4 quart pan as well as the 10 inch frying pan. (She doesn't want to pay that kind of price so has been looking for something at Walmart to replace those two with. )

Enjoy your new pot, I work with what I have a small pot with a loose handle, a hot plate that seems to be rusting, but the slow cooker still works and the toaster oven and oh, yes, a pot with one handle
