Have you ever heard about something in your region you were clueless about?

I saw on Google smart news about an Elk herd in a nearby county. They are actually on a defense supply center base, but someone posted on FB there is a viewing center set up on Route 1 near an Arby's so you don't have to go on base to see them. He said whether you can or not depends on whether they are in that area or not at the time. Who knew? And here I had going to the SW part of the state part of my plans where I know they do have them.

Well, my dad learned something about Oklahoma he didn’t know. I asked him if they ever caught the Lawton (a city an hour from us) serial killer. It was news to him. He had never heard of it even though it was during the 80s and 90s.
I like your elk tidbit more.

I don't blame you for that. I know that one guy that killed those little children at a girl scout camp I think it was from Oklahoma. Was that a different case?

@snowy22315 Yes, that was a different case, but I know what you’re talking about. Our local news did a special about that case last January. I wasn’t even born yet, but I am very familiar with that one. It was shocking.

@snowy22315 I was like that that when my mom was alive. I even went to sleep to The First 48. I got my love of true crime from her. I still love it, but it’s faded. Which is probably good.

There are cool things in this state which people would never guess about. There are waterfalls 9 miles from Washington DC on the Potomac River that are as wild and rugged as anything out West.

We have bison here in Kentucky down in the Western part of the state. I've seen them. I'm sure there's lots of things even in my city that I don't know exist. Like axe-throwing places.

Yeah, I found out maybe a year ago there were pecan trees in the state,if I knew that, and I may have because we used to visit Williamsburg a lot in the SE corner of the state, I forgot. The older I get sometimes, I forget about what I once did or who I talked to, but the more I think about it, it is like deja vu.

No, I live south of there now, actually where I live is a tourist spot. However, it is mostly state wide tourism here...It isn't known real well out of this state.

@snowy22315 Sorry for asking continuously because I don't know the conditions and country you live in now.
