I knew chocolate was bad for your health, and I always thought that "death by chocolate" would be a good way to go, but I just learned something form history that I find fascinating.
Bomb designers for the Nazi party created a thin layer of chocolate to coat explosive devices, that would kill anyone within a few yards once the layer was broken. The exploding chocolate devices were wrapped in black and gold paper and smuggled in as expensive treats for people within the War Cabinet.
As it turned out, before Churchill would munch into one of the explosive chocolate bars, the plot was discovered by British spies, who told other people who thwarted the plot before it happened.
That's your history lesson for today.
