Compelled to take a different route by circumstances

We feel comfortable and safe to follow a beaten path but taking a different route can be educative and it can give a different experience. Our daughter who is an intern in a government hospital in a central Bengal district over 300 km from our home. Every time she comes home and returns to her place of work we try to make a reservation on a train. This time she came for Christmas she could book s berth in an "unusual" train , which also brought her to our nearest station at an odd hour. She got down from the train at two in the morning. It's risky for a girl to detrain at this time of the night. Thanks to a trusted friend she managed to get home at three in the early morning. As she had come home at very show notice finding a return ticket reservation was difficult. I did book a seat for her in an unusual train. However I got a better seat on another train. To catch this train we rose at 4 in the morning. Reached out home station by " toto," boarded a suburban train , to catch another short distance train to be in time for another train. Ultimately, we were able to put her on the couch for the final six hour trip. We, her parents, reached home after two hours following the same route back. At home we reflected and opined, this route of return journey is good for the child to avoid a night journey back.

First, I’m very glad she could come home to visit, but very happy she was able to make her return trip safely.
