A request for chilli con carne

Over the Christmas and New Year holidays we have done much grazing instead of eating proper meals.
We knew we would be at Moms for dinner today ….New Years Day …..and I bought a gammon joint for dinner.
However, I asked The Mister what he wanted for supper, as we will be back home by then …..he had a think ….all of two seconds , then he asked for chilli con carne ….
Thankfully that’s an easy dish to make, as to be honest I still don’t feel like spending hours in the kitchen cooking ….im still in lazy holiday mode ….
Anyway, chilli con carne with rice and garlic bread it is …..

I am making a meat loaf. I wanted to make mousaka, since I have an eggplant..but did not go to the store to get extra ingredients yesterday.

Pretty asked if I could make more turkey and stuffing for supper tonight. She didn't specify what sides she wanted with it, though. I'm thinking mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli for me and she can make something she likes to go with her meal. (I thawed a bag of the leftover smoked turkey from Thanksgiving yesterday.)
I have no clue what we're having for lunch today.

I love Turkey, although the stores here generally only stock it at Christmas time ….its so annoying.
I have it sliced from the deli counter ….at the only supermarket that has a deli counter now….for sandwiches. We can get that all year round.

@DaddyEvil no, now you mention it , we can’t get sliced chicken for sandwiches at any time of the year.

@Traceyjayne I've looked at three different stores and even tried to order it online. Amazon sent a message that it was "temporarily" out of stock.
