Could the stray dog I discussed about recently have left her puppy behind?

This pictured puppy has been at the entrance of one of my farm cottages for at least three days now. I am yet to consider constructing him a shelter, with expectation that his mother may come back for him. Funny enough, the stray dog, which I suspect could be the mother has not shown up for the nightly morsels for almost a week. The puppy eats most of the morsels, which I keep on placing that the gate at around midnight. I have asked around for anyone who could have lost a puppy but nobody seems to come forward to claim ownership. The puppy uses the outside oven which stays warm almost all night for shelter although I am giving myself some reasons to have him around until someone comes to claim him.

It's cute. I would take it in since no one has claimed it.

@SIDIKIMPOLE The best dog I ever had was a found puppy that no one claimed. I still miss her.

She's been a bit shy and scared of ducks.
