Day two of the year: Thieves steal my already transplanted duranta fencing seedlings

As part of my New Year Plans, I intend to fence my entire estate and slowly turn it into a safer place for cottage or eco-homestay. I therefore used most of my December holidays raising some fencing seedlings of a beautiful variety. I in fact planted some in one of my estate’s sides. Interestingly, I just woke up on 2nd Jan. 2016 to find several up-rooted and missing. I will have to make routine guarding in hope of catching or scaring away the thieves since I have not yet installed an alarm or CCTV system.

I will have to be guarding them at night to protect them from further stealing

That would be so frustrating that people are stealing your plants. I hope you're able to stop it.
