My Most Memorable New Years Eve

Now that @AmbiePam and @JudyEv have talked about most memorable New Years Eves, I finally remembered one. I was probably 25 years old. I was single. I had signed up for a dating match company. I wasn't having any luck. Then on the morning of New Years Eve I got a call from them saying one of their customers was having his nephew come into town for New Years and needed a date for him. So I said yes. Well, the man with the dating service was probably in his 60's and his date was as well. The nephew was in his 40's. The man was wealthy. He drove us in his BMW to Bardstown, KY (about 30-45 minutes away) where we boarded a Dinner Train. It was lovely with velvet curtains and really old beautiful decor. We had dinner and the nephew paid very little attention to me. But the old man did!! After the train ride and dinner we came back to Louisville to a night club where the nephew proceeded to hit on another woman at the club. It was all very humiliating. So it was not a good night. Fast forward six months and the old man had broken up with his girlfriend and called and asked me out!!!! So yeah, it was a memorable New Years Eve.

What a nice story. Our new year's isn't fair enough unlike last year it was wonderful for my family was complete. This year my youngest son weren't around. They found not good to travel their newborn twins for our place is very.noisy due to the big bang explosions of firecrsckers.

That was certainly memorable. At least you had a pleasant evening on the train.

That doesn't sound much fun at all.

Makes you kinda wanna sing, "Oh, what a night." Of course, this wasn't in late September, 1963, but...

Did you go out with him? Thanks for sharing your story. I should write about mine. I can think of two right off the bat.
