I simply love old Hollywood movies and any kind of old movies that might catch my attention. I know there will be those of you who might recognize an old movie star who was very popular in her day by the name of Marlene Dietrich.
Even though she wasn’t an American actress, she did appear in a number of films in Hollywood. I came across a German film from 1937, which was supposed to star Dietrich but instead starred another actress from the same time, Polish actress Pola Negri. It was Negri who made a hit out of the German song featured in the film. I have added the link.
Does anyone remember these actresses?

She was great. Marlene that is. I just watched a documentary about her recently. I like old movies from about 1935 on. Before that they weren't very good. Up to the 60s. I think the movies made in the 60s were junk for the most part.

@RasmaSandra - I agree, at those times they really need to "act" as they do in the theaters, no modern technology to stop every few minutes and cut and paste the scenes.

@LadyDuck making comparisons to some modern actresses, I have to say the ones from Old Hollywood really had talent.

I remember both. I've never seen Negri in a movie though.
