First responders rescue a dog that was on an island in South Carolina

Horry County Fire Rescue (HCFR) firefighters answered an emergency call from persons who saw a dog who was stranded in the Waccamaw River on Tuesday afternoon.
The firefighters went to the Chris Anderson Landing where was located and with the help of the Horry County Police Department and environmental officers managed to place a leash on the dog on the island and take the dog to the shore.
The dog was reunited with its owner the same day.

Cool. I think the dog was a little terrified by that I am glad he was reunited with his owner right away.

Maybe the dog swam to the island and then was too tired to swim back again. The owners will need to keep a better eye on their dog from now on to stop a repeat performance by their dog.
