State Pensioners face an unexpected delay for no fault of theirs.

The double engine BJP government in Odisha has put the pensioners into trouble for no fault of theirs. We had given our digital life certificate and did get a message from the bank on our phone but our pension didn't get credited to our account in the month of January. I contacted my bank where they said that I had to provide a life certificate manually as the digital one was not showing up in their head office. Now I have to wait for my pension and keep on enquiring at the branch office. It's really disgusting that the government offices in Odisha are always facing internet issues. This is because BSNL the government internet service provide is always having issues with its connection. So most of the apps related to government remittance don't work properly. I don't know what else we have to face.

I’m certain that is troubling for you and everyone involved. Pensions need to arrive on time, because so many people depend on them. Hope it’s working better now.

It got credited on the 9th of January. My elder son helped me financially.

Hopefully, the bank sorts out that manual certificate quickly so you don't have a long wait for your payment. Dealing with those bureaucratic snags is draining.

That would be really annoying and quite worrying. I'm sure many are relying on their pensions coming through on time.

Most pensioners like me do rely on pension and don't want to depend on their children for running themselves.
