Firefighters from the Tucson Fire Department were dispatched on Christmas Eve to rescue a German Shepherd who had his paw stuck underneath under the back tire even though the dog jumped in front of the auto when the driver stopped his auto in time.
The firefighters placed the auto on neutral to roll the auto forward to free the dog who was then given to an animal control officer.
I am sure that the dog was taken to an animal shelter waiting to be reunited with his owner.

Poor dog. I hope that he's home, now. The dog in your picture looks like one of the dogs that live next door to me.

Is it a stray dog? Is the owner already notified?

I am sure that the dog's owner will be notified by the animal control officials. Probably a stray since it almost got hit by an auto.

That is a weighty problem, and I hope his paw will be ok, and not too badly squashed.
I guess they knew what they were doing, but I would have used a jack to lift the car up, as rolling the car forwards, like that, I hope more damage was not done to the poor paw.
