Cold Days, Cold Nights, Smog, Rains and Tea Times !

So the past few days have them all.
Cold Nights.
Smoke, Pollution, Fog and the deadly mix - Smog.
High world class AQI levels.
Sometimes I wonder how far we are technically from smoke chambers !!
And then the chill sets in.
First few days, smog and cold winds testing our spirits.
Now, 12 to 14 C day temperatures might not be too low for many of you.
Yet along with chilly winds, they really tested us.
And then we had overnight rains - between Thursday and Friday (8/9 Jan).
At least we had less pollution but the chill persisted.
Today(10 Jan 26) afternoon was a boon with bright sunshine and some warmth.
Now whether we would have more cold days or not needs to be seen.
Hot cup of tea becomes even better to give us strength.
Signing off as it is almost midnight here.

The last two days have seen surprisingly warmer afternoons.
However, it suddenly becomes chilly in the early morning and late evenings.
Last day minimum dipped to 4.2 C - not much above the freezing point.

Just a few days back, parts of the Greater Delhi region saw minimums like 2.9 C and even below 1 C.

Well, we have seen this before.
It is the fluctuations that test us.
Somehow I got some cold on Wednesday.
Now I am trying to counter that by Cough Syrup, Vicks Vaporub and drinking warm water.

At 12 to 14C, I'd still be wearing jean shorts, tank top and sandals but with a cold wind, I might add a light jacket to that. (I wouldn't be outside with a high AQI. My allergies would have me in the hospital.)
It is 9C with bright sun and a chilly breeze here at 2:30 pm.
I hope you get some nice days in the near future.

I cannot think of that summer like dressing at temps around 14 C.
However, I believe a much lower AQI would be better and at least not a health hazard.

At times, some things suit us, others do not.
Like some people like Round neck Sweatshirts and find them very comfortable for winters.
I have tried but I like a Shirt with collars, a Sweater (preferably not very thick) and a Jacket with zip and preferably covering neck.
It makes me feel more comfortable.
Sometimes I have a shirt and heavy jacket as well.

That would be miserable, but not the worst. We rarely see see highs below 12 c. It's closer to 16 to 20 c. But hang in there winter will be over in a couple of months.

I think the Florida weather would be quite similar to what we have but without the extremes that we have.

I believe Colorado won't have that cold a weather as may be its neighboring states in US.
Smog can be a big health hazard but not all people can relocate.

i bought today 2 boxes of fruit tea so, i am on board with tea, like you

Sounds fine. I am more into Milk Tea although of late, I am having more of Green Tea as well.
Polluted air never helps.
Yet scientifically, when wind speed is less in the winters, pollutants keep on trapped near surface.
This causes Smoky Fog or what we call as Smog.
The heavy proliferation of private vehicles in the Greater Delhi Area (Delhi NCR), akin to Greater NY City or Greater Tokyo area has aggravated the problem.
