Well, we have had another conflict - or do we say a hostile operation.
President of a country, accused of aiding Drug Trafficking captured in a dramatic and swift operation by US.
Then, we had conflicts in various parts of the world.
Now, US is threatening to take over Greenland.
Hostilities get started or restarted in Middle East and parts of Africa.
United Nations created in 1945 after the horrific World War II was supposed to help rein in such conflicts.
Yet we do not see it and especially its special bodies - UNGA : United Nations General Assembly or UNSC - United Nations Security Council (The Big 5 group) being able to keep things in check.
Under such conditions, isn't it the right time to say Goodbye to United Nations or at least some of its constituents like UNSC, UNGA etc. ?
Also, with the base of UN being in US, the kind of independence that should be there seems hard to come by.
What are your thoughts in this regards?

Yes and it is becoming quite dangerous.
Multiple players and factors are at play.

I am all for the United Nations and think it would be disasterous if they did not have this organization,

However, the effectiveness of UN is highly reduced.
They have not been able to bring Russia and Ukraine to peace.
US also captured Maduro under its nose.
UN's dependency on US is a big factor (especially physical location).

However, many political analysts are finding UN to be highly ineffective.
Or may be countries do not listen at all !

Its organizations like WHO or Food Organization etc are still fine, and so are UNESCO or UNICEF.
Not much worth would be the opinion for the rest like Security council (UNSC).

Perhaps it is apt most of the time.
Yet sometimes I do get into the in-depth analysis and discuss as well.

I think that we will be seeing the end of the United Nations just like the League Of Nations was formed in 1920 after the of World War I.

Even if UN is not disbanded, it would be ineffective.
As long as its primary funding depends on US and its base is in US, things would be tough.
However, I do not also see any chances of any changes in that fact.
