It ironed out pretty smooth

What a day. We're still listening to the Nora Roberts murder mystery. I drove to Safeway and headed to the bakery- after I selected a bunch of red flowers. The young man at the counter said they did not have an order for a German Chocolate cake! Oh God help me and happy birthday. But there were scrumptious cakes right in front of me ready to be boxed and put into my cart. I settled on one that had little explosions of frosting and red cherries on top of them. Looked intriguing. Home to upset hubby. He'd had a message written on the cake! Oh Lordy. I calmed him down and told him that the one I had chosen appeared to be grand. Much later I found out that when daughter had helped hubby find the phone number she'd given him the wrong one. She hadn't understood that I don't shop at the nearest Safeway due to its large size. So.....two people did not show up to the party. They were ill. Three did. Basically our writer's group. We all had a lively time together. The young lady walked the dogs. Birthday gift for them. The cake was scrumptious. Oh my. Cherry filling in the middle of chocolate cake and marshmallow topping frosting. For sure I am spoiled and filled with too much over the top cake. My photo.
