What do you think about the Blind Barbie?

Mattel is putting out many different Barbie Dolls that have various disabilites, Blind, Autistic, Down's Syndrome. Will these dolls help little girls feel better about themselves? I didn't have a Barbie, but I had an off brand: Dawn doll, that was smaller and I felt that she had cuter clothes to change her into. What do you think?

I am neutral. But I am not against it. Actually, I'd have to think about it some more. Labels bother me a bit.

Why do the Barbies have to all be Teenagers? Can't some just be little girls?

I am not against, but it's not a doll I would buy for my grandniece.

@TheHorse - I think that parents must talk to children telling them not to stare at disabled people, but I am against buying for them "handicapped" dolls. It may be traumatic.

I think it could be a good idea so children can understand better those who have disabilities. I had a Barbie with movable limbs,

I think it's great that they are branching out. I had Barbies when I was growing up.

I think it's a great idea. I remember seeing a black doll on Antiques Roadshow and them saying that once there were very few black dolls. Maybe they're still quite rare.
