Sorry to share something so disturbing but I wanted to get it off my shoulders as they say. I keep reading about people going to resort places and often something bad happens but they keep going.
Now in Ecuador at a popular beach in Puerto Lopez gang-related violence as occurred and beachgoers were greeted with the sight of four human heads hanging from ropes, The police say it is a warning from a criminal group still whose heads were they? A wave of drug-trafficking violence is sweeping over the country, Three days later, there was another armed attack in the same province, where a further six people died. Meanwhile, I would be packing and heading back home glad I had survived.

@RasmaSandra They are part nuts, and part deluded into thinking it will never happen to them.

@just4him that is just what bothers me. I read of all kinds of bad things that happen to people, particularly British tourists at resorts yet they keep going there and sometimes with families and children get hurt or die.

I would never visit these countries. Too many tourists are disappearing in some of these resort areas.

@RasmaSandra As long as there's a drinking spree, trouble is unavoidable.

There is a lot of animosity toward Americans right now, I don't think it's that safe to even leave our country right now, until whenever and however all of this political mess is resolved. I am no scaredy-cat, but it's very concerning.
