Early in the morning of bhogi festival We are burning away the old like agricultural waste,wood,old items at home to welcome the new, representing letting go of negativity, bad habits, and past burdens to make space for positivity, prosperity, and new beginnings, while also providing warmth. #The first day of pongal

Thank you for letting me know about Bhogi Fire. We burn such a fire on Holi.Holi will be celebrated around two months from Makar Sankranti.

@Kusumakrishna Yes, it is centuries old tradition in North. I had also not heard of bhogi fire before.

@Kusumakrishna A bonfire is bigger than a campfire. Books used in school aren't REALLY books... They're torture devices.
