I never learn my lesson

Work is doing the Souper Bowl again this year. It is a fundraiser for scholarships for some of our seniors. Staff makes/brings in homemade soups/chili/pastas in crock pots, some people provide desserts, and then others supply things like plastic cutlery, napkins, bowls, plates, crackers, rolls, hot dog condiments, butter, etc. It used to be way more complicated but now it is a "grab and go" situation set up in the main office. People donate their contributions and then staff can pay $5 for lunch.
I am known to be a good cook/baker at work and of course I am a show-off so I always make a soup. I don't have a crock pot but I do have an Instant Pot and they have a slow cook setting so good enough. Last year I was overwhelmed with homebound tutoring so I was kicking myself for volunteering. And a lot of my soup was left over (chicken pot pie) which pissed me off so I was like "next year I'm contributing napkins".
Well the sign-up spreadsheet came out today and guess who volunteered to make not one but two things? I decided to do mac and cheese because my version is awesome and I won't have to worry about it spilling in my car on the way in. Then because I am a show-off I also am going to make lemon pound cake. That's always a favorite. Each loaf makes about 8 slices so I might make 2 because why not?
I never learn. Catch up with me in 3 weeks and I'll be saying "next year I'm bringing the relish".

I'm surprised there was soup left last year. I'm sure the Mac 'n Cheese will be a hit along with the lemon pound cake(s),

Sounds good to me and glad you will help. I say why not because I am sure you can make things with ease as opposed to others who have problems with cooking.
