A student and I wrote an original song! / myLot

Lela, who is eight, was noodling on piano. She did something "cool." l said "Do that again." Within a few minutes we had "written" other parts of her song. I grabbed some staff paper and wrote out our song. Maybe we'll perform it at the next "Showcase." I hope she is practicing it. Her eyes suggested she was quite proud of it.

@LadyDuck She looks up to her older brother, who is ten or so and plays guitar. But It think she is finding her own "voice."

Yeah, she is developing her own "voice." She looks up to her dad, who plays drums, and her older brother, who plays guitar. I want to help her establish her own "musical identity."
