A Day of Futile Trips

It was a day of that kind when your going out turns out to be fruitless. Sometimes, hororsopes predict such futile days. I wish to recount the futile trips because there's something positive about it.
First, I went down to the market to get a spiked spade from the blacksmith workshop . The workshop was closed so were other shops of the market. Of course the fish market was making good business as usual.
I turned my bike towards the government primary where I wanted to meet the headmaster. I needed a payment slip for some money I had paid for computer and art class fees. Unfortunately, he was not in the school. Probably, he had gone to the district school office.
Next, I proceeded to the roadside grocery shop to buy flour for our kitchen. For some unknown reason even that shop was closed. However, on the way back I found a shop open where I bought 2kg of flour. Returned home and reflected, I should have understood the first signs that it was going to be a that kind of day.
Next time, I should be more careful to obey the hints.

It's funny. Some days you just get the feeling that nothing is going to according to plan. I'm glad you were able to buy flour at least.
