He tried to Borrow money from me

Someone tried to borrow money from me today.
They failed to do so.
I'm not stupid you know.
I came out of Boots having collected Yvonne's meds
And a guy came over the road and asked if he could borrow £1 for a cup of tea.
I said wow, a £1 for a cup of tea, I,ll come with you and buy myself one too.
Well he didn't seem too happy and said it didn't matter
So I asked him where I should go to enjoy this bargain cup of tea.
He asked if I was taking the piss - I said probably as tea would pass right through me
He left
I never did get my £1 cup of tea

So 60 cigs on 3 packs is just over 8 per day.
That's not a lot.
But smoking any amount is not healthy

Sounds like when some brave soul drove up alongside us on a bike and asked for a dollar. Mind you, we were in the van.... on the road....

Lol Good one, I don't mind helping someone but if I know its for vices best I can offer is a plate of hot food or bottle of water. Take it or leave it

If it was a choice between giving someone £1 or a plate of hot food I had to buy I would give them £1 lol
Even a simple thing like a small bag of chips costs £2 here

I should have told him to foxtrot Oscar
But I am a polite person now.
Maybe he will think twice before approaching people asking them for money
I never even got to the bit about making a payment plan to pay it back

£1 wouldn't have been missed at all but I knew that's what he wanted to do when I saw him headed over the road towards me
