What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given, something that really stuck with you or changed how you think or live? It could be from anybody. Big or small, sometimes one simple line can make a huge difference.
Mine: “Take life one day at a time.” It reminded me not to rush everything or worry too much about the future, and to just handle today as it comes.

"Keep moving forward" I remember the motivational speech actor Sylvester Stallone gave to his son Vito Mentiviglia on paying the price for being successful in life.

My dad told me to look at a girlfriend's mother closely and if I could imagine being 25 years older and with a woman like that , then my girlfriend could be the right woman

It's worked out for me though
I looked at my wife's mother and thought nice looking lady who was about 60 at the time.
Well, Yvonne my wife has inherited her mother's good looks
