I realize I fell out of posting again, but truthfully, anxiety was creeping up again. When that happens, I usually just finish my work and put the laptop away. Other times, I was busy or relaxing offline. I’m doing okay today, so I thought I’d post a few life updates.
- My 41st birthday was January 11th, and it was nice. I went out with my younger sister and our best friend (older sister wasn’t up to it, and that’s okay). We went to Dunkin (my fave) and then to a mall I’ve never been to before; it has a large antique store. :) After, we grabbed food, where my sister ordered crab dip as an appetizer and I got pulled pork as my entree — two of my favorites. Afterwards, we stopped by a thrift store and headed home. A cookies and cream cake was waiting in the fridge for me (a really yummy surprise), and my niece bought the usual from Dunkin the next day. I’ve been really into the iced Dunkalatte with butter pecan, so I enjoyed one two days in a row, plus my usual jelly donut. Happy Birthday to me lol.
- My anxiety has been bothering me off and on this month, and I don’t think the gloomy weather we had for a few days helped. I’m doing better today, and Mr. Sun is out. Anywho, I’ve been trying to find ways to relax when my anxiety is creeping up. I’m not sure what’s been up with it, but I don’t feel it’s enough to need a medication increase or change; I just need to take better care of myself. I get the feeling my recently messed-up sleep schedule and poor diet choices have something to do with it.
- Winter has been wintering, as some cool kid somewhere would say. Or maybe not, and I’m just a dork, lol. But anyway, we’ve had mild days here and there, but the cold days have been COLD, at least to me. I’ve been getting the most out of my heated blanket and portable electric kettle. We’re about to throw my Crockpot lunch warmer on the list, which I received for my birthday. I think some of these gifts will be a separate post; not to brag, but to share them with those who may be interested in getting something for themselves.
- Work is slowly picking up, so I’m getting back into my routine for sure. Some of that routine will be at home because of the weather, so I need to force a more productive at-home schedule. The reason I work at the coffee shop is that I’m easily distracted on some days. I definitely have some work to do with making improvements, especially if I want to add other projects to the mix (in addition to my usual offline activities).
- We won at Trivia Night AGAIN last week. Holy smokes, I hope they don’t think we’re cheating because we’re not lol. We even figured we were going to lose, so it came as a shock to us lol. Winners get a $30 gift certificate to the bar, and I think we’re only halfway through our last one lol. I barely drink alcohol out. I prefer the Shirley Temple because it’s refreshing and only $2. Tie that in with the occasional $1 snack, and I’m pretty sure my choices help us maintain those gift certificates when we do win lol. Oh, and did I mention that we have Trivia Night again tonight lol? It's every Wednesday.
Okay, I think that’s it for now, as I’m focused on my current writing order. You all have a great day. Stay safe (and warm, if applicable) and take care!

I will do my best to stay safe this weekend since it could snow this weekend or be very cold in my area.

Sorry you've been dealing with the anxiety, that's never fun. Glad you are doing better today. The sun being out can help a lot, for sure. Trivia night sounds fun, I might have said that before lol...but that's great you've been winning! Hope you'll enjoy it tonight again

Hello Tammy
Belated Happy Birthday.
I am just back after 5 months away.
I know what you mean about gloomy weather, I can't stand it.
We haven't seen the sun in a while.
Hope the anxiety goes away soon.
Take care

It's good you're doing okay. I'm thankful for that at least.
