Talked headache/migraine with doc

I went to see the pain doctor on 1/22. It was actually a nurse practitioner, but I have to be seen to get the meds each month.
She asked me if my migraine meds still help, because they do sometimes stop. I told her they do help. My biggest problem is deciding if the headache is a migraine or something else, since I've had tension headaches as long as I've had migraines. I do get sinus headaches too, if I've been sick, but not as common as the other two.
So, she then shot off the medicine reorder to the doctor since it is a medicine that has to have a doctor sign off on.
Fun fun fun...
And we have bad weather coming in, isn't that just an addition to our life... I had been hoping it wouldn't make it here, but it looks like a steam roller of ice headed our way!
I hope all of you who are in the storm's path, like I am, are set for a bad weekend. And the rest of you... how are you doing?

We have sleet coming down right now, but the head isn't too bad. It is 23º F here - that's -5 C. I have not been spending any time outside. I kind of resent having to put the dog out and get him in, but I am not going to leave a 17 year old dog out in this weather.

@ElicBxn o, no and it's good you care deeply about your pet. -5C is good but it's better to stay indoors

I'm glad they re-upped your prescription for you.
We got sleet/ice first and now we're getting snow on top of that. Luckily, we got groceries on Wednesday and don't need to leave the house until February 2nd or 3rd when I have another doctor appointment.

@DaddyEvil I could be warmer, but when I crawl into bed, I will be. I keep thinking I have an electric blanket in my old room, but where?

@wolfgirl569 I swear they never learn. I guess I just don't understand these people. I have dodged a couple of ice related accidents and I don't desire doing any again.

The word has been thrown about, but they are mostly talking about ice. Texans, you see, have a take on weather. When it is sunny and warm (hot) they drive fast. When it rains it means speed up and if said rain freezes they lose their collective minds.

@ElicBxn That sounds like what they do here for the first snow fall. They forget how

That can be a concern. I do know I'm not functioning as well as I do even normally. I went to bed early, for me, slept through my medicine alarm and I'm ready for a nap, but it is kind of close to supper now and if I lay down now, I will NEVER sleep tonight.

Glad you got your meds, now just hope the storm doesn’t turn into a second migraine!
. Too early to sleep, too tired to stay awake… the classic ‘nap trap.’ Maybe just rest your eyes a bit instead of full-on napping - baby steps!
