Has Anybody Tried Avocado Toast?

It seems to be all the rage. I don't like avocados, so I haven't tried it. But I'm seeing it on several menus in local restaurants, so it must be a good combination. Have you had avocado toast? Did you like it?

Yes, long before it became a 'trend'; I like to spread toast with some chilli jelly, smush the avocado on top and then top it all with a fried egg. But having read about how bad avocado cultivation is for the environment due to their need for huge amounts of water, I now rarely eat them.

I recommend treating avocado in the same way as I treat cucumber - add plenty of salt and vinegar and then throw it in the bin.

I prefer to just eat one of them, not combined. Some feelings can't be combined that's my reason.

I love that but without the avocado. Lashing of real butter is my preferred topping. If I am feeling particularly carefree, then some marmalade too. Delicious

Yes, I have... I don't like avocados but when it's made into guacamole and smeared on toast, whether you eat the normally accompanying fried egg, it's really good. A friend from Peru made it for me once and it was delicious!

I've only had avocados twice. Not sure if I like them; but I wouldn't like them on toast or with onions.
