Whelp the storm is over, but now we go on to phase II, the bitter cold. Today will be about freezing during the day, but the night time temps this week are lower than I have ever seen them. A day or two perhaps below zero. It NEVER gets that cold here. Anyway, lets hope it doesn't lead to any pipe bursting. I protected the outdoor pipes, and I think I will let all the faucets in here drip and over the doors down below..to protect them. I haven't seen anyone go down the road since the storm started Saturday. I am guessing it is pretty bad. What is going on in your hood?

Glad you got through the storm without any mishaps. Sunny and 85 today, but cooler for the next few days.

@DianneN That's true especially if it is at all humid.

Finally sunny here, not very warm, but warm enough to enjoy a walk today.

I wouldn;t care to be walking today, although I do plan on a brief walk outdoors just down to the street.

@snowy22315 - We did not walk for long time, but it was nice to walk in the sun, it's good for Vitamin D.

It’s 8 F here, which has dropped from an hour ago. It should be below freezing all week, but I know that’s a lot of the problems for everyone hit by this storm.

Here too, but today is 31. We will still have some snow melt though because the sun is out strong, and there is always radiant heating.

@snowy22315 I wanted to see if I could get to my car to get something out of it, but the sidewalk isn’t even clear, and getting down the stairs looks precarious since I can’t find my boots.

@AmbiePam I am sure my steps are snow covered with ice underneath. I forgot to get snow melt when I was out..I can throw a bit of cat litter down I think though,.

I hope it warms up soon so you won’t have to worry about those pipes freezing. We are used to this here.

We're getting quite a bit of snow. I'm pretty sure we're getting the end of the storm. The last few days have been quite cold, which I'm not thrilled about. But not much I can do about it.

Everything is closed here. No Meals on Wheels; so I will have to go digging in the freezer for a frozen dinner.

I think since I wrote that earlier a truck or two went by and I think I saw a plow.

I hope the heat pump keeps up, and doesn't die of exhaustion.

We got somewhere around 14" and yup, it's downright freezing here too. Doesn't even look like it's going to warm up much as the week goes on either. I don't remember it being this cold. The snow crew is here now snow blowing, plowing and shoveling. Hope you don't have any issues with freezing pipes. That would be horrible
