When the government shut down in October I was told by some people that it was not Trump's fault that other part's of the government control that! Huh? Why do we have a president then?
Why was Trump's campaign slogan about making the USA better again? Therefore it had to be things he did that made it lead to the shut down!
I have an account with Navy Federal Credit Union. In October they gave an offer to many government employees where they would loan them some pay during the shut down. This was a very kind thing to do!
This morning I received a notice from them that they are monitoring meetings at Capital Hill till January 30th because they are discussing another shut down!
What do you think about this?

My personal take on this, from a political standpoint, is that there’s not a Republican in Congress or running for something as mundane as dog catcher who wants another government shutdown. They all know they are in serious trouble in November, and that’s BEFORE the SS (oops, I misspelled ICE there) murders in Minnesota and the bad taste in everyone’s mouths over the “improvements” now that they’ve taken effect (not to mention the “America first” meddling in the Middle East and Venezuela). If there’s another government shutdown the GOP might was well hang it up because they won’t win anything come November.

@dfollin -- in this case, #45/47 is "the face" of the Republican party, and as he goes, so goes the party. They put all their eggs in one basket and found out the basket they chose is a basket case.

We not only have a President but Congress and Senators. There are a lot of things that the President has to get okayed by Congress before proceeding with. Trump isn't doing that. He is doing as he pleases. Snubbing all authority but him.
Trump is a liar. He lies about everything. He certainly did not make America great again. He let it go by the wayside while he filled his pockets with deals he did with other countries and the rich people here. He cares nothing about the rule of law or about America. He wants to rule as a King and answer only to himself.
How much was the interest on that loan from the credit union?
Yes, there has been talk about another shutdown. Just another way to hurt America and those living here. We have such a bad reputation that other countries are warning their residents not to visit America. That people are being arrested and murdered on the streets. This not the America I knew nor the one I want to live in.

The Navy Federal Credit Union just put this announcement on there saying they are closely monitoring the negotiations on Capital Hill leading up do the January 3oth deadline. To get updates and information regarding it I needed to sign up to get them
When I went in to sign up they said that I had to get a direct deposit of at least $250 monthly, which I do. Then they say that I have to be employed by the government, which I am not and have paid back the loan from October in full. The loan is only for government employees, so that did not pertain to me. On October 3rd I received a letter from social services saying it was time for me to renew my certification to continue receiving my full Medicade. Which was due by October 30th I even called my case worker asking what she needed I took the stuff to the office on the 22nd and was told it would be processed in 10 days. A few days later I received a partial bill for a doctor appointment I went to locally for a blood test and I called transportation to set up my transportation to my Oncology appointment. I was told that they couldn't take me to the appointment because I no longer had full Medicade. I find out the Medicade had ended September 30th! So I had to change my Oncology appointment from December 4th to January 15th. His nurse found me a ride thank God on January 14th to go the next day. Because of this I am also going to be losing my benefits to help me with some of my utilities, some food and medication too in March! Medicade says that it is too far to go. But that type of Oncologist is the closest one to me!

Yes it might shut down again. We do not have a functional congress at this time because a little over half of them are allowing a narcissistic baby to tell them what to do.

Congress should do its job and keep the government open. All that needs to happen is for John Thune to suspend the filibuster so they can pass a sensible budget.
