Update on Her Mom is Killing Her Dad

So, if you didn’t read my discussion yesterday, I’ll briefly recap: my childhood best friend’s dad is in the hospital. He was somewhat out of his mind (you can go back and read about it if you want), and has several health problems. They are giving him different meds than when he was at home. Her mom didn’t like that, so she was giving him medicine from home without the hospital knowledge. Each of those three times, he crashed. So, a lot of you wanted me to report her mom. I kept thinking I must be missing something. Her mom doing this upset my friend, but if SHE wasn’t taking action… Anyway, I got some numbers from my nurse best friend, made a call that connected me to someone else who was very interested in my story. Meanwhile….he is back in his right mind. Her dad has started physical therapy, and knows who everyone is. My childhood best friend has said nothing to me about anyone coming by, but I don’t know that she’d know anything about it. So there you go.

I probably would have called the hospital and told a nurse that they needed to check him for meds they weren't giving him... Or, I might not. It really depends on whether the mother was trying to kill him or thought she was helping him.

I’d bet my life she thought she was helping him.

It sounds like unfortunately, whoever you called is putting this on the back burner. You would think at the least they would interview the mom and daughter. Perhaps they alerted the hospital, but if I were you, I would make a follow up call, and ask what is happening on the case. I am glad he is doing better..but clearly the mom should get the pills taken away with the whole " I know you want to help, but you need to listen to the medical personnel..other wise you are commiting a serious crime."

I strongly suspect they got a visit, and my friend just didn’t mention it to me.

That's not cool. I hope that has been stopped and won't happen again.
