Nothing better to do? Yeah right!

During the weekend being snowed in people, scammers thought I had nothing better to do except answer scam calls and listen to their lies and waste money! Then I also got over 250 texts on my phone, more scams and lies. Like I don't have my mind on other things! Have you all been getting more of these since the storm started?

I’ve been getting ones trying to get me to get me to sign up for Medicare plans. I’m 44! I don’t need Medicare for quite a long time. And, half the time it’s not a real person either.

@Ineeddentures Block numbers doesn't do any good, because they call from a different number.

I got a couple of calls from someone claiming they're taking "donations" to help fund our local police department. I just hang up and block the number.

Yes they can but I need to answer them for two reasons, my medical insurance company told me that they can call me from a number that might say "Possible Spam Call". Plus it may be a number that I don't recognize that's calling because one of my family members may be hurt.

Because the winter storms have messed up the telephone lines, there have been a few scammers calling my relative's home.

Not having a phone. I don't know if that's a blessing or problem. I couldn't deal without a phone for other reasons.
