For her 16th birthday, the ice princess couldn’t be a camper at her favorite camp anymore, so her parents gave her the gift of a lifetime. She flew from NYC with a few of her best friends from home and camp to Utah. From there the traveled by bus with other teenagers throughout the western United States and Canada visiting everything you can imagine.
She gave up competitive figure skating and as a certified instructor taught the 3 to 8 year olds figure skating. She still skates, but is doing crew for her high school. She also scuba dives when the family travels during school holidays, and plays tennis every week.
Now my princess drives. When she got her license, her parents bought her a beautiful, used, white Range Rover. She drove her brother and his friend to my house last Thanksgiving. Her parents drove themselves. Teenagers! lol!
She’s looked at colleges with mostly her mom all last year and only in the South. She wants warm weather. She never applied to a university in Maryland, but they offered her a scholarship for figure skating. She turned them down. A cold state. Fortunately, she scored extremely well on her ACT testing. 100 percentile in most of her subjects with a 99th percentile for her lowest score. We are still on pins and needles to see where she is accepted.
Finally, she took a summer internship working for a Congressman from New Jersey. She loved it so much that she wants to major in political science now.
The rest of the time she hangs out with her 3000 best friends, goes to concerts and plays in NYC, shops like both of her grandmothers, and reads voraciously.
That’s it in a big nutshell.

Can’t believe how big the little Ice Princess has grown!
Don’t blame her a bit for wanting a southern college for escaping the winters, I mean furthering her education.

She's beautiful! I'm glad she's still doing something with skating. I know you're proud of her.
Sixteen already, WOW! I remember when you shared pictures of her way back when. It's hard to believe she's driving and she drove to your house for Thanksgiving. She's amazing!!!

I can't believe she's that old! I feel like she was just a little girl the other day.

She's a lovely young lady.
Is she frowning because you're taking her photo or is that her normal resting expression?
I'm glad she did so well on her SATS and hope she's accepted by a really good school!

And how cool that she gets to teach figure skating now.
