I’ll be incommunicado today

Our electricity is set to go off shortly, because the network company have scheduled work trimming trees around the power lines in our area. So I’ll be lighting the fire to keep us going with hot drinks, and wrapping the fish tank in a duvet. Obviously I won’t be here either, should be back later. Have a good day!

Without the internet to distract me I went outside to do some work in the garden and was very quickly far too hot!

I wrapped the tank in a duvet and had planned to top it up with hot water (heated on the fire) if the temperature dropped too low; however as it happened they finished early so it was all fine.

They finished much earlier than expected, obviously they allow plenty of time for the work because it's much better to finish early than to have to get the contractors back another day, write to all the residents again and generally annoy everybody!
