Danilo was my mom's most trusted employee. And became a part of our family from that time on. He was in his early 20s and mom noticed how smart he was that mom offered to send him to a university. However, according to Dan himself, when mom took him to one University in this city to enroll him, he deliberately didn't bring any of his credentials coz he was embarrassed. He told me he was too old to be a college student.
So he remained as one of mom's staff. He would proof read and edit our school term paper and sometimes our tutor. He was one of the witnesses in my parents' abduction and murder. He was traumatized but he never left us. He lived in our house. Remained under as our employee and still one of our trusted in mom's business.
Sister took over the business and Dan lived in her house. When Dan was already too weak to go to work, sister told him to just stay in the house.
Dan passed away last week and it made me cry. Had many happy memories with him when I was a kid, in my teens, my adulthood. Craig calls him grandpa Dan.

I bet he was proud to be called part of your family. That is the best eulogy I think I've ever heard.
RIP Danillo.

Yeah I think he was too. He chose to stay even though he knew he could go home to his own family.

OH yes. I think I did make a discussion about him many years ago too.

I am too. It's always sad to lose someone but we know eventually we would. He passed away in his sleep. The good thing is he didn't suffer.
