The Charlotte Fire Department in North Carolina answered an emergency call on Sunday evening when a pickup truck that was driving on a snowy road on Sunday evening that fell into a retention pond.
The pickup truck driver was standing on the bed of his truck while the truck was in the pond.
The pickup was partially in the pond when the firefighters were able to rescue the truck driver and treated at the scene of the accident. The good news is that no one was hurt in the accident.
Be safe driving on roads that are either wet or snow on the road.

Retention pond is also called a wet pond or stormwater pond designed to hold water.

That is true. I have experienced driving on wet and icy roads. It is scary.

Most likely the driver decided to drive against the orders of the authorities.

I wonder how the driver managed this looks like a job for a stunt guy in the movies,
