There is something that happens here which I think doesn't happen in other countries..you go to the bank to withdraw, the cashier hands you your money..on checking the bills, you find tattered notes/bills mixed in with the cash you received..
I use many banks and they all hand out tattered notes/bills . Even if you don't want to stay long inside the banking hall because you can calculate the exact amount you will receive by simply looking at the display figure of the cashier's counting machine instead of counting the bills manually after receiving it, you will still be forced to stay a little longer because you may need to check every bill to be sure non is tattered..it add unnecessary hassle to the whole process
the other day, I went to the bank to collect a few cash, the cashier handed me the bills . I was too in a hurry to check. When I got home, I discovered that two notes were tattered. I was really furious..
I think the apex bank that oversees all banks should put an end to this issue of banks handing out tattered notes..they are the ones that can stop this BS..
Do you find tattered notes mixed in with the cash you receive at the bank?
Anyway, I'm not gonna allow that ruin my mood..how are things at your end?

That's what the banks are supposed to do but they still hand out the tattered bills

notes mean bills..I had to edit the content so that people will understand that bills and notes are the same..we use the term notes for paper money in Nigeria. you call it bills

I only do online banking now; I don't ever remember getting tattered notes. Can you complain about this?

We don't have that problem with our bank & if we did
we'd give them the bad bills so they could put them
out of circuit, cause they don't belong in transaction.

It can sometimes happen here, too. Not all banks recieve new notes. Many bank notes are actually old. Often brought in by other people who need to make change. Or deposit cash into their account. I see this mostly in coins. But, I can see it in bills, too. The us. mint only makes and distributes so many bills and or coins each year. or however often they do it.
