Bad Opinions: Grammy’s

The Grammy’s were back the other night, and it was much of the same as all the other award shows. Famous people run their mouths because for some reason their opinions matter. First off there was another 12% decrease in viewership this year over last year. That must count for something. More and more people don’t care about it? I guess there are more social media comments on it but that doesn’t tell us, are they positive or negative comments. I never really paid that much attention to award shows for the fact that they are just a bunch of rich folk patting each other on the back for doing a job. Yes, some are very talented at playing an instrument or singing, acting or making films, whatever they do. That does not mean they are educated in politics or have any sense of morals to preach to the rest of the world. This time around was Billie Eilish, and I know she is not the first and I’m sure not the last to bring this up. She in trying to bring down ICE commented about not enforcing laws due to the US stealing the land from Native Americans. I won’t get into the stealing of land at this point. It baffles me when these rich people use it to imply the US has no right to enforce laws on land they stole. Makes my wonder if they pay Native Americans for the land their homes sit on, have they turned there homes over to them? How much of Eilish’s $53 million is she handing over to the Native Americans who had that land before. I bet not very little if any. The Stink of it is: Just accept your awards, cash your checks and shut up.

I stopped watching award shows years ago. I also agree that the microphone doesn’t give them the right to sound off on their political opinions.

I've never watched awards shows and don't care about a rich person's opinions. *shrug* What have they done for me lately?

The youth think they are wise beyond their years. Especially the rich ones. I guess all famous people think higher of their opinions than anyone else though.

I like that idea. you lose it if you start talking politics while you're accepting. it's a good rule.
