A thought provoking question today ….. Is it deep or light hearted ….. Could be either depending on your point of view……. Remember …… Never eat yellow snow ….. Look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves ….. A stitch in time saves nine …… If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, quacks like a duck …it probably is a duck …….

My mom once told me never to marry a man thinking I can change him. Because he probably won’t, and if he does, it will take a lot of prayer. I found that funny and wise, at the same time.

I was once told to stop worrying about what other people think and do and just be myself. If people don't like the way you are, nothing will change their mind and I should be comfortable in my own skin.

That reminds of : "Be yourself; everyone else is already taken" attributed to playwright Oscar Wilde

I like Zappa. But I'd have to say, "Be like water." Nah. I have some better ones.

My parents never gave me any advice. I just learned from their actions. They were both hard workers; and we were able to travel because they were frugal the rest of the time.

My favourite is “Don’t eat yellow snow” but you’ve already mentioned it. I can think of another couple off the top of my head: 1. Never volunteer 2. Don’t put off until tomorrow what you can put off until the day after.

One of the best advice i have been given is to never start what you know you can't finish. So if i know I won't be able to support you all the way, there is no need starting.

Could you not give encouragement at the start and then let them fly by themselves …….
